Matrox announces RT.X2 Service Pack 1

Matrox is pleased to announce the final release of Matrox RT.X2 Service Pack 1 for use with Matrox Mx.tools version 1.0 (build 558) and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.

Over the past few months, Matrox has closely monitored the RT.X2 user forums, and we believe that this service pack resolves the most common concerns from our user community as follows:

* Fixes a freeze when exporting or rendering a non-realtime segment of an SD timeline.
(Ref# 40341).
* Fixes a freeze when scrubbing or playing a segment containing a cross dissolve, speed change, and Adobe Motion effect. (Ref# 40580)
* Fixes a problem where the status of the non-realtime indicator (red bar) on the timeline was not saved with the project. (Ref# 40499)
* Fixes a problem when applying fast motion to HDV clips.
* Improved GPU performance when running on a dual-CPU system. (Ref# 40621)

This release of software is provided as is. We recommend that you back up your system before installing new software and encourage you to advise your customers not to update their RT.X2 software if they are in the middle of a project.

The release version of Matrox RT.X2 Service Pack 1 is available to all registered owners in the "Utilities and fixes" page of the Matrox RT.X2 software updates section on the Matrox website.

IBC 2006 - Amsterdam, September 7, 2006 - Matrox ® Video Products Group today announced that release 2.0 software for the Matrox RT.X2™ realtime HDV and DV editing platform will provide significant new features including realtime native editing of JVC's ProHD HDV 720p format. Matrox RT.X2 is designed primarily for realtime native HDV and DV editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
