Matrox RT.X2 Release 3.0 Now Available
Release 3.0 for Matrox RT.X2 is now available for download on Matrox's public website.
Matrox Mx.tools version 3.0 provides the following new features:
• Support for Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 (earlier versions of Adobe Premiere Pro are not supported). • Support for creating projects with the following new progressive SD and HD video formats: 486p @ 29.97 fps, 576p @ 25 fps, and 1440×1080p @ 23.98 fps, 25 fps, and 29.97 fps. This means that RT.X2 now supports all the HDV resolutions of the Sony HVR-V1 cameras, as well as the Canon HDV 24f and 30f modes. (RT.X2 SD does not support HD editing and output.) • Native editing of Panasonic P2 .mxf files in SD and 720p formats using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. This includes support of Panasonic VariCam .mxf files in 720p @ 23.98 fps and 25 fps projects. (RT.X2 SD does not support .mxf files.) • Matrox EZ-MXF utility for native .mxf file support in Video for Windows applications. This utility lets you use your .mxf files with animation, compositing, and motion graphics applications that support only .avi files. • Thumbnail previews and additional file details provided for your .mxf files in Windows Explorer and Adobe Premiere Pro. • RGB curves control when setting up a Matrox primary or secondary color correction. This feature provides a fast, natural way to fine-tune the colors in your video, as well as achieve wild color effects and other looks. • New Matrox sphere effect, and acceleration of Adobe Premiere Pro's Timecode and Garbage Matte effects.
